JUDGES ANNOUNCED FOR DULUX COLOUR AWARDS 2012

Four top names in the Australian and New Zealand design industries will come together to select the crème de la crème of colour and design, as part of the 2012 Dulux Colour Awards judging panel announced today.

Representing an impressive collective knowledge and experience in colour and design, this year’s judging line-up includes the award winning architect, Peter Maddison, the talented colour guru at Colourways, Kim Chadwick, and the creative stylist and founder of www.thedesignfiles.net, Lucy Feagins.

Adding a Kiwi perspective to the already impressive judging panel is Jeff Fearon, a principal and co- founder of the award winning Auckland-based architectural practice, Fearon Hay. Jeff debuts as the first New Zealand judge on the Dulux Colour Awards judging panel.

Dulux Colour and Communications Manager, Andrea Lucena-Orr said the 2012 judging panel is a ’star studded’ team made up of some of the biggest names in architecture and design.
 
This year’s impressive judging panel includes:

Peter Maddison – Director Maddison Architects Pty Ltd and Host of Grand Designs Australia

Kim Chadwick – Director Blend Colour Marketing & Design Pty Ltd and Managing Consultant Colourways

Lucy Feagins – Stylist and Editor of The Design Files

Jeff Fearon – Principal of Fearon Hay (New Zealand)

All 2012 entrants will be shortlisted and judged by an internal panel led by Dulux’s resident colour aficionado, Andrea Lucena-Orr, before being reviewed by the 2012 Dulux Colour Awards judging panel.
Marking its 26th year of recognising and celebrating the exceptional and inspired use of colour in architecture and interior design, the 2012 Dulux Colour Awards are open now, closing 10 February 2012, and projects will be judged across eight categories:, Commercial Interior, Commercial Exterior,    Single Residential Interior, Multi Residential Interior , Single Residential Exterior , Multi Residential Exterior , Sustainable Interior , Student
