The application of Foamular in Green Roof garden systems was the highlight topic at a seminar presented to the Australian Institute of Architects, Newcastle branch, on the evening of February 23.
On the eve of February 23, Foamular Product Manager Mike Nagle passed on his knowledge regarding the environmental benefits of green roofs by using Foamular Insulation material to guarantee maximum energy efficiency in the structure of Green Roof Gardens. It was an informative presentation, as the gathered architects began to understand why Foamular continues to grow and distinguish itself as the chosen brand when it comes to Extruded Polystyrene Insulation.
Glen Spicer, the Chairman of the Newcastle Division, Australian Institute of Architects, provided Austech with a few words and highlighted the depth of knowledge given, surrounding Foamular and insulation:
‘Mike provided an excellent presentation at the New Technologies in Building Products Seminar. It was very informative and provided both good background information on the Insulation industry as well as on specific Austech insulation products.’
Green roofs have been increasing in popularity in Australia over the past 10 years. Powerful business groups and Australian wide city councils have been dynamic in promoting the benefits of green roofs since 2008. As well as the environmental advantages, green roof gardens display architectural prowess, brilliance and are physically appealing to the eye.
Green Roofs are just one of the many applications of the Extruded Polystyrene Foamular. As more architects and builders are opting for Foamular over its competitors, it has become evident that Foamular is superior in the reduction of moisture absorption, its high R values and ability to maintain its thermal and physical properties.
