Austrian hardware manufacturer Blum, supplies the Austria-House in Whistler Canada with innovative hardware solutions which offer the highest comfort.

The "Austria-House" follows a 25 year old tradition at the Olympic Games, representing a meeting point for the business, media and sports communities. In addition, at the 2010 Vancouver, Canada Olympic Winter Games, there is an Austria-House in Whistler where the majority of the sports events take place. These Winter Games are also called the "Green Games" which not only refer to the highest performances in winter sports, but also to make a large international public awareness statement regarding our environment.

What's new at these 2010 Winter Olympics is the way the Austria-House is built using the most modern technology of "Passive-House" construction from various Austrian companies. The entrance hall features a speaker's desk, a wall-hanging base cabinet with, above it a showcase cabinet consisting of a glass front which will be used for the athlete's medals. Highly functional hardware such as TANDEMBOX intivo which is the runner system used in the base cabinet and AVENTOS with SERVO-DRIVE which is the electrical front opening solution, are products from Blum. The Austria-House will also be used during the Para-Olympic Games which will follow and then will be handed over to the community of Whistler for use by the public.
