Eco/Innovation Award Winning ActronAir ESP ducted air conditioning

ActronAir’s locally developed ESP Plus ducted air conditioning system, which provides substantial energy consumption reduction over other systems, has won the Environmental/Innovative Product of the Year in the COOLworld Industry Awards 2008.

[Melbourne, 21 April 2008:] ActronAir’s locally developed ESP Plus ducted air conditioning system, which provides substantial energy consumption reduction over other systems, has won the Environmental/Innovative Product of the Year in the COOLworld Industry Awards 2008.

ESP Plus is the first and only fully integrated ducted air-conditioning product with a zoning system that varies airflow to a minimum zone. It incorporates the proprietary Variable Air Flow technology which automatically senses when zones are switched on or off and intuitively adjusts airflow accordingly, with substantial energy savings.

An Independent study using BEAVER and CAMEL modelling indicate that annual energy consumption is reduced by up to 61 percent with ESP Plus versus a conventional system (that’s from 24.1 tonnes CO2 to 9.4 tonnes CO2 annually) and 59 percent versus an inverter system for a typical 2 storey, 4 bedroom brick veneer home in Sydney’s west.

Whilst other more complex and expensive systems can mimic this performance to some extent, ESP Plus is the first low cost solution for homes and light commercial.
