Retail Expo Australasia: Surviving Declining Consumer Confidence

To stay ahead during challenging times, retailers can’t afford to miss Australia’s premier retail trade exhibition, Retail Expo Australasia, 12-14 August 2008, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, to learn about the latest products, systems, and technologies that will keep their businesses on the top of their customers’ shopping lists.

With consumer confidence falling to a 15-year low*, the premier retail trade exhibition will feature the latest technologies, shopfitting systems, and POP and POS solutions needed to gear retailers for profitable trading in the face of consumers’ managing interest rate rises and unprecedented fuel prices.

“Consumer confidence is diminishing as household budgets are strained to the very last dollar. Retailers therefore can’t afford to miss this opportunity to see the latest retail technologies, systems and solutions to ensure they have the products, equipment and knowledge necessary to survive in an extremely competitive retail market,” said Peter O’Flynn, Exhibition Manager, Retail Expo Australasia.

Confirmed exhibitors include industry heavyweights Beonic, Epson, Abuzz Technologies, MYOB Australia and Australian Shop & Office Fitting Association (ASOFIA). Currently more than 70% of floor space is already sold.

Divided into seven key product areas - Retail Technology; Shopfitting and Store Design; Security Technology; Business Services; Digital Signage; Eco-Retailer and Visual Merchandising – Retail Expo Australasia visitors will benefit from seeing the best local and international retail products, many recently launched at Euroshop, the world’s biggest retail exhibition.

Retail Expo Australasia is returning to Sydney after two years in Melbourne and will be held in conjunction with Australia’s premier retail conference National Retail Forum.
