Stormtech's experience in architectural grates and drains ensures high quality products that may be used in a range of architectural applications. By allowing a single plane fall, the company's vinyl clamp allows Stormtech Slimline grates to be used on vinyl floors. The vinyl clamps may be used in domestic as well as commercial and large scale projects in bathrooms, kitchens, thresholds, doortracks and special needs access.

Stormtech

Stormtech introduced Australia to linear drainage for bathrooms in the early 1990s and has since then provided efficient architectural drainage solutions. In interior applications, the Stormtech system forms a sleek partition between the “dry” area of the bathroom, housing the sink and toilet and the “wet” bath and shower area. It also allows internal and external areas to become level and helps create a perfect integration between indoor and outdoor areas.

All Stormtech grates are made of quality stainless steel manufactured in Australia. The system connects directly with all standard plumbing fittings and has a Watermark Standards Australia International certification.

SD90 by Stormtech Pty Ltd

Stormtech Pty Ltd Architectural Grates and Drains have designed SD90 which is a slot drain with a 25mm opening concealing a drainpipe with a diameter of 90mm. With architectural background and knowledge and invented by Stormtech over 25 years ago, SD90 slot drain contributes to a seamless and cleanly detailed draining system. This system is suitable for stormwater run-off and surface water drainage in courtyards, door tracks, driveways, paved areas, patios, pools and thresholds. The drain form is available in up to 3 metres long in heavy duty UPVC and 20 slots into the pipe. The slot drain with a 10mm hole at 50mm will take up to 0.7L/s and the maximum drain slot of a 25mm opening of 4.0 L/s. Stormtech have provided detailed sections of the system in pavement, tiles and concrete.

PS and PH Series Slimline Grates by Stormtech

In addition to its range of architectural grates, Stormtech has also a circular hole- punched (PS Series) and a slot perforated version.

Both models can be combined with a UPVC or stainless steel channel. They are modular systems, which means they are size adjustable onsite during installation. Both are off-the- shelf products available in 38mm and 65 mm wide and 40 mm or 25mm deep.

Stormtech's 100TIFI40 Custom Fabrication

Stormtech's 100TIFI40 is a custom tile insert frame and channel. Made with stainless steel, the channel is finished to the required length with a width of 100 mm and depth of 40 mm. The sleek but subtle appearance and the durable materiality means the frame is versatile in application. Area's exposed to rain or water including balconies, bathrooms, showers and courtyards etc, are visually enhanced with the noncomplex and well designed system. The customized length results in a continuous elegant frame along the borders of interior or exterior spaces, spaces that are otherwise overlooked. The system can be installed in concrete, timber or tiled floors, thresholds and walls.

Stormtech's 65ARI Series

Stormtech continue to provide state of the art slimline architectural grates and drains, with the new complete stainless steel 65ARI series.

Known for its modular systems composed of stainless steel grates fitting into a UPVC channel, new to the market is now the full stainless steel product.

It is now available ex stock as a complete finished unit in 1000mm and 2000mm lengths.

There is also The modular system with stainless steel grate, channel and fittings to be cut to size and assembled on site is also available in kit lengths from 750mm to 3000mm.

This innovative product removes water from the trench along its length using one or more outlet. Drain efficiency is improved by removing far larger quantities of water than would otherwise be possible.

The 65ARI series is perfect for featuring in bathrooms, suspended slabs and balconies, thresholds and doortracks, special needs access areas, commercial applications and various large scale projects.

An essential component for when large format tiles are selected, Stormtech removes the need to cross cut the tiles. In bathrooms, the slope of the floor, as seen in showers, can be made into a uniform direction, without the multiple fall required when using central floor drains, thereby increasing safety significantly by reducing slip hazards. As a result, the amount of potentially hazardous water pooling on the floor surface is reduced, removing the need for steps, hobs, frames and other tripthreats.

This full stainless steel system provides a prestige finish with design flexibility that can be used in both contemporary and classic styles.

The 65TIF Tile Insert Frame by Stormtech

From Stormtech comes the latest in innovative drainage, with their 65TIF product. This 65mm 316 Stainless Steel Tile Insert Frame allows a complete integration in a tiled or any other solid surface area providing a discreet finish with exceptional design flexibility. It is available with either a UPVC (65TIFG40) or a stainless steel channel (65TIFI40).

In addition to this inventive characteristic, the 65TIF still features the stock features of all Stormtech products, which made the company the leader in drainage innovation that it is today. Water is removed from the trench along its length using one or more outlets, allowing for larger quantities of water to be removed. When used in bathrooms, the slope of the floor can be made into a more uniform direction without the multiple fall required when using central floor drains, due to not crosscutting large format tiles. This also increases safety reducing trip hazards.

LED Designer Grates

Stormtech has been a leading provider of stainless steel architectural grates for many years. New to the product range is a LED strip complete with transformer to be added on to any of the Stormtech grates for a stylish finish, particularly around pool settings or to create a luxurious ambiance in the bathroom. To have the stylish slimline stainless steel grate illuminated by an elegant LED light in any chosen colour, a waterproof LED strip can be added to any of the Stormtech grates. The strip comes in one-metre sections complete with transformer. This strip or strips, depending on the length of the installation, is then simply added to the underside of the grate to create a luxurious ambiance in any setting.

Stormtech's 100ARG Drainage System

Stormtech’s 100ARG drainage system is one which removes large quantities of water from the trench along its length using one or more outlets. An 100mm wide Architectural Stainless Steel grate with PVC channel, the 100ARG is just one of Stormtech’s many innovative slimline architectural grates and drains.

By using the 100ARG, crosscutting large format tiles is not necessary, as the slope of the floor can be made in a more uniform direction, reducing hazardous dangers such as water pooling, steps, hobs and frames.

As a result of this feature, the 100ARG is a perfect product for a variety of applications These include bathrooms, pools and paved areas, thresholds and balconies, driveways, suspended slabs and balconies, patios, courtyards and terraces, special needs access areas and large scale projects.

Stormtech's Special Assembly

From Stormtech comes the new Special Assembly drainage product. The award winning 65AG100 and 38AG90 Special Assembly products are narrow profile, high capacity drainage systems that allow flexibility in pool design and construction, including wet edge or infinity pool situations. This patented manifold drainage system reduces the need for traditional wider grating. It is composed of a PVC channel with outlets every 200mm connected via downpipes to corresponding sockets in the pipe below. This allows the channel to be installed level while the pipe is given sufficient fall to be self-cleaning.

This product is used in areas requiring superior rates of drainage, where a standard 38G or 65G, featuring an outlet every 1 or 2 meters, will not allow the removal of large enough quantities of water.

Completing the Special Assembly you can either use the Architectural grate (AR series), the punched hole (PH Series) or slotted versions (PS Series).

The Special Assembly is the preferred drain for pool surrounds, courtyards and large level areas such as pedestrian areas, sporting grounds or carparks.
