Since 1906, Methven have produced and manufactured tapware for bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Established by George Methven in 1886, the company began as a brass and iron foundry. After 20 years, the company embarked on manufacturing faucets and copper laundry vessels. Now, with years of experience and knowledge, Methven have a collection of luxury, earth-wise and innovative tapware sold in New Zealand, Australia, UK and USA.

Recently, Methven have been successfully pursuing the design and product development of tapware.

Some of Methven's most recognised designs include:

- The Satinjet twin-jet spray which efficiently produces up to 3,000 water droplets per seconds

- Fastflow - a mixer technology

- MAIA - a beauty shower easily accessible to residential bathrooms.

Methven's designs have earned recognition from multiple associations, they include - the Green Award by Chicago Athenaeum GOOD DESIGN (2011), the Red Dot Award - a Product Design Award in Germany (2011), the Plumbing Merchants Association Award in Australia under the Bathroom and Kitchen category (2010), and the Gold Award by the DINZ Best Design Awards in New Zealant (2010), to name just a few.

TAHI Shower Range from Methven

Tahi by Methven is a range of shower systems featuring the company's award winning Santinjet technology. It uses twin jets of water to create 3,000 droplets per second from flow collision and fractured surface tension. Apart from the relaxing and cleansing trickle of water, the system makes it possible to save more than 50% on water and energy consumption. The Tahi range can save over $100 in annual energy bills in a family of 4 with an average shower duration of 5 minutes. The range includes a twin rail shower system, additional foot rests, rail showers, an overhead drench shower, thermostatic dual flow, and thermostatic single flow.

MAIA Range from Methven

Methven's MAIA is a shower head range that brings the relaxing and unwinding experience of day spas into your own home. Each shower head includes 4 spray options and Methven's unique replaceable vitamin C cartridges which fit into a filtering mechanism behind each shower head. The 4 spray options massage and stimulate both the body and face while the vitamin C cartridges help reduce the harmful effects of chlorine. Unlike most shower heads, the MAIA shower head range doesn't remove the natural protective barrier on your skin and hair, leaving your face and body feeling more hydrated and your hair soft.
