Engineers, Cortese Consultants and Vincent Chrisp Architects were engaged to investigate the possibilities of a suitable outdoor heating solution consisting of heaters for outdoor dining and gaming areas – which had a ceiling height of up to seven metres. Their salvation came in the form of NOBØ. NOBØ’s radiant ceiling panels have proven to be successfully installed in difficult to heat areas such as schools, churches, restaurant alfresco dining and warehouse spaces, and so were ideally suited for these applications. Installed high up on theceiling, saving valuable floor space, NOBØ’s electric radiant panels provide an allergy free environment, with no emissions, no noise and no obtrusive red glow.

Requiring no maintenance, these panels have no fan and don’t run out of fuel,

unlike their lesser quality colleagues. Since thermostats don’t work outdoors, the NOBØ T32N thermostat is located inside, with a probe placed on the outside wall at 1800mm above floor level, which switches to the accurate thermostat, providing excellent external temperature control. The function proved to be just what was desired by the two clubs, and over twelve months on from installation the two are still delighted with the performance of their outdoor heating systems.
