Standard ceiling systems typically go unnoticed, because they simply close the space and hide structural elements, whereas Barrisol’s unique characteristics offer much more. Ceiling installations can be inclined, curved or vaulted, making the Barrisol system a design tool that can visually open up any space or create a new ambience with colour, reflection and form. Applications include public buildings, private residences, swimming pools, shopping centres, museums, light boxes, floating panels, exhibitions, fitness centres, and showrooms. Barrisol is made from a recyclable PVC-based sheet which is non-flammable, pre-finished and requires no maintenance. It is made to measure in the factory to the exact shape of the room, producing a perfectly fitting ceiling, whatever its size, shape or form. The custom-cut, flexible membranes are held in place by an “invisible” perimeter aluminum rail and can adapt to any requirement and accommodate any type of lighting, air-conditioning, ventilation, safety or sound system. Installation is clean, quick and quiet in new construction or renovation projects, with overnight installation possible in commercial and retail situations. The choice of colour, texture and reflection enhance any décor with matt, gloss, satin, lacquer, metallic, brushed suede and translucent finishes. More than 90 colours are available including the reflective gloss finish which can give the perception of greater height in a room.

The Barrisol Lumiere® translucent range is available in several white to warmwhite finishes. Barrisol Lumiere can be backlit with white or coloured backlighting to create unexpected and stunning appearances for ceilings, walls and 3-dimensional structures. Barrisol Lumiere can further be enhanced by printing directly to the membrane, and any photograph or logo can be easily printed. Barrisol Acoustic® micro-perforated membranes absorb sound and reduce noise pollution and reverberation – perfect for both large and small public spaces such as swimming pools and restaurants. These are ceilings built to be long-lasting, easily cleaned and exceptionally strong without adding heavy weight to the structure.
