Recycle by Dunlop Flooring

Dunlop Flooring is Australia’s largest recycler of polyurethane waste, processing in excess of 10,000 tonnes. In line with their commitment to the environment, Dunlop invites you to participate in the recycling of polyurethane foam waste by supporting the Recycle by Dunlop programme.

Under this programme, current participants supply some 3,000 kilos per annum, per retailer of post consumer waste. Not only is this an excellent environmental initiative, but a money-saving one too, with customers saving $1,300 per annum in waste disposal costs. In 2007, a staggering 56,000 tonnes of carpet was disposed of to landfill.

By diverting a portion of your waste from landfill, the programme is helping to keep your costs under control and will continue to reduce your costs as landfill charges go up as a result of increased environmental concern.

Dunlop views this product as a valuable resource for the production of future cushion. Manufactured from 90% post-consumer and post-industrial polyurethane foam off-cuts, Dunlop carpet cushion is itself 100% recyclable, meaning that it can be reclaimed and re-manufactured into new product.
