It is now generally excepted that “best practice” lighting design in the workspace can help create a sense of well-being, encourage employee engagement, contribute toward improved staff attraction, retention and performance whilst remaining flexible enough to cope with the “churn” consistent with business growth and development.
In this way, intelligent, responsible lighting systems play a pivotal role in business success. Officelyte is a recessed modular fluorescent luminaire designed to provide the ideal visual environment for offices, schools and healthcare applications. It is the only single luminaire solution that complies with European regulations for glare control, ceiling and wall illuminance and energy regulation. Yet its elegant design belies its thoroughbred performance.
Unique opalised satin wings refract uniform light from either T5 or TCL lamps. 9% of the emergent light is directed onto the ceiling, providing higher ceiling brightness, critical in the elimination of “cave-effect”. Uniform illumination of vertical surfaces further reduces the gloom that is all too typical of workspace interiors. And the story doesn’t end there, high efficiencies are achieved by intelligent thermal and optical design to ensure peak performance and minimum energy waste. Designs compliant with BCA section J6 are visually brighter than conventional louvre products.
IP40, as standard, reduces product soiling and concomitant maintenance visits, particularly useful in healthcare applications. Predominantly made from plastic and steel, the embodied energy of the product is reduced, its recyclability improved and its environmental footprint minimised.
Officelyte is available in standard electronic, dimmable, and with an integral smartDIM sensor for presence detection and daylight control for maximum energy savings. Truly the intelligent and responsible use of light.
OFFICELYTE AIR HANDLING
Officelyte Air Handling allows the luminaires to be integrated into a building’s ventilation system, resulting in installation savings and less cluttered ceilings. Officelyte’s primary air-handling capacity comprises of 4, removable (for easy cleaning) air grilles inserted along the luminaire case, to provide inlets to the negative plenum. 20 litres/sec can be removed, increasing to 40 litres/sec by removal of knock-outs in the back housing. Using this “balancing” system, uniform air-exchange can be achieved throughout the space, something not possible with conventional, slotted frame luminaires.
The 4 separate chambers ensure that returned air cannot build up on optics or lamps, maintaining the integrity of the luminaire, optically and thermally. Officelyte Air Handling, for optimum visual control combined with intelligent thermal management.
