Hunter Pacific International is an award-winning company that designs, manufactures and distributes world-class ceiling fans. The fan motors use vacuum impregnated high-grade copper windings, silicon-steel stators and sealed bearings for long life and quiet operation. Hunter Pacific International backs its ceiling fans with a two-year in-home warranty and an additional three-year limited warranty on the motor itself.

The Majestic is one of Australia’s largest and most innovative range of ceiling fans. Utilising pressed steel motor casings for reliable and quiet operation, reversible airflow and unique styling the Majestic fans are popular, attractive and suitable for installation on up to 32 degree pitched ceilings. Although usually pull-cord operated, an optional three-speed wall control or optional remote control can be fitted.

Majestic fans include the Everglade, available in three colours and three styles (palm, broadleaf and bamboo); the Madagascar, which comes in burnt copper or white; and the Little Bay, available in antique brass, brushed chrome and white. Additionally the Little Bay has an IP44 rating and should be suitable for many types of outdoor installations.

The Concept range is one of Australia’s most successful fan designs. Its appealing sculpted lines combined with quiet and efficient operation makes it a favourite. The blades attach directly into the motor housing eliminating the need for an external blade carrier.

The Concept 2 range has a conical canopy cover, a flatter motor housing and base plate for a modern look yet carries through the best features of the original Concept design.

The Icon ceiling fan received an Australian Design Mark Award in 2003. This four-bladed ceiling fan has a slim motor housing made from die cast aluminium and with slightly curved blades.

The Kinetic has four timber blades and the bottom motor housing is frosted glass. The blades come in five decorator colours.

VORTX EXHAUST FAN

Hunter Pacific has recently finalised development of the VORTX exhaust fan. This is one of the most advanced products of its type anywhere in the world, and has been entirely designed and aerodynamically engineered in Australia for highly efficient and quiet operation.

Two versions are available: a ducted model supplied as a complete kit including 5m of flexible duct, and a flush mount one-piece version that can be connected to ducting (not supplied) if desired. Both versions feature quick installation and a standard flex and lead.

Extensive research shows exhaust fans can fail to perform satisfactorily if they cannot generate sufficient pressure to overcome the resistance present in ducting or dead-air spaces. If the air cannot move cavitation usually occurs, which is when the blades chop through the air making it turbulent but without making it move beyond the fan outlet or move only slowly. When this happens fan speed increases since it is not ‘biting’ into the air, which is the opposite of what most people think would happen.

The VORTX, however, generates very good pressure under a wide variety of conditions, thanks to its unique rotor and stator design. The rotor blades and the stator vanes have been developed and modeled using fluid-dynamic computer software, similar to that used for aeronautical applications.

The VORTX’s airflow rate is 430 cubic metres per hour and its high static pressure far exceeds that of its competitors. Also, as it generates less turbulence this means quieter operation. Additionally, the motor is fully sealed and the entire product is double insulated for safety and long life.

The VORTX’s grilles are both decorative and functional, being engineered to aid aerodynamic flow while coming in several distinct, attractive designs. They are removable for easy cleaning and available in round or square shapes and in a range of colours.

A three-speed wall control (or optional remote control) provides low speed for continuous quiet operation, normal speed for general extraction duties, and a unique boost mode for clearing a room in the shortest possible time.

The VORTX ducted kit contains 5 metres of 150mm diameter flexible duct. The unique quick mount system clamps the fan body and duct adapter into the mounting brackets with an easy fasten and release catch. The duct adapter can be cut to size to fit 100, 125 and 150 mm ducting. The adapter is fastened to the ducting and then fitted into the mounting brackets independently of the fan body. Installation and maintenance is therefore quick and easy as the ducting remains in place once fitted.

In a world first for this product, the VORTX mounting brackets allow multiple fan bodies to be directly connected together. The resulting 150 mm multi-stage assembly delivers performance suitable for multiple inlets and which eclipses much larger competing systems costing significantly more.
