Successful office refurbishment programs have been traditionally built on the three cornerstones of aesthetics, cost and timing. Now there is a fourth part needed which is equally essential for success.

Concerns for the environment have swept the globe with many different strategies and attempts being made on how to protect our renewable resources through using ‘green’ environmentally-friendly options.

The building industry has followed the environmental certification system of the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) which tracks timber supply and processing from forest harvesting through beneficiation to final installation.

The Supawood ‘Green’ range of wall linings and ceiling tiles is the key for all refurbishment upgrades which require compliance with recent Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) benchmarks.

Supawood’s Green Panels feature medium density fibreboards with low formaldehyde emissions (E0 or E1) made from FSC certified plantation grown timber, along with finishes having low volatile organic compounds (VOCs), thus meeting the requirements of Green Star projects.

The warmth of most natural timber veneers can be further enhanced with the application of Supafinish Natural, a heat-applied VOC-free clear finish, which requires no solvent in its application and retains the natural character of the timber surface without the conventional wetlook.
