Stone Italiana was established in 1979 in Verona, Italy by Roberto Dalla Valle. Dalla Valle pioneered the manufacture of recomposed quartz stone and totally revolutionised the industry. Today, Stone Italiana is the undisputed world leader in recomposed marble and quartz for residential and commercial applications.
Stone Italiana’s reputation is founded on quality stone - graded to the highest International Quality Assurance Standard - and innovation on a number of fronts. Their revolutionary approach includes the use of new and recycled materials; they have researched and developed a unique undulating textured product, together with a honed satin-grain quartz stone that is stain and scratch resistant. And they were the only company commissioned by the E.U. to perform research into embedding natural timber within stone. The very latest technology is employed in Stone Italiana’s two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Verona.
Stone Italiana are able to offer unique product selections, such as Jaipur, Metallico, Mosaico, Satin Grain and Luxury Stone. With the widest colour range of over 100 colours, Stone Italiana have also produced exclusive and personalised colour ranges for Giorgio Armani, Deutsche Bank, Fendi, Victoria’s Secret, Swatch, Benetton, Trussardi and Bloomingdales. They use high quality glass from the renowned glassblowing island of Murano, off Venice, in their quartz stone.
The Jaipur Brushed range is a unique collection of earthy and spice-coloured stones. The surfaces are as irregular and unpredictable as the textures themselves to make each slab quite unique. Fold marks, texture and tonality variations are typical of the Jaipur finish and are not considered faults but rather organic enhancements. They are created using a special production procedure exclusive to Stone Italiana.
The final brushing process ensures that the surface can be easily and completely cleaned, and its excellent properties - such as non-porousness, stain and food acid resistance, and impact strength - make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
These unique characteristics are achieved by using only the highest grade of granulated quartz, conglomerate mixtures and polymers during the manufacturing process. Many have tried to copy, but none have been able to achieve this highest level of integrity and quality. Whether in slab or tile form, all Stone Italiana products are manufactured with controlled, certifiable characteristics, having uniform weight, thickness, compactness, design and colour uniformity.
Stone Italiana has by far the lowest absorbency of all stone materials, the highest flexural strength, an abrasion resistance similar to porcelain and an extreme impact strength value un-matched by all other stone surface options.
