RMAX Isolite® EPS is the only insulation that can be applied to all areas of building construction in practical, economic and efficiency terms - by itself or combined with conventional building materials. Isolite® EPS is an expanded polystyrene product, a light-weight, durable and economical material which has outstanding thermal efficiency when moulded for insulation. The fine, air-stabilised cellular structure of Isolite® EPS guarantees steady, long-term delivery of R-Value from the day of installation through the full life of the building. Invulnerable to the forces that attack many insulation materials, Isolite® EPS provides a permanent maintenance free internal surface. With no nutrient value for insects and vermin, it is infiltration resistant. Furthermore, the introduction of a non-toxic PerformGuard additive to the RMAX sheet range arms it against termite attack.

Adding to these maintenance benefits is the fact that Isolite® EPS has zero capilarity. Coupled with a low water absorption rate and moderate permeability of water vapours, condensation and dampness are minimised. Resistance to mildew, bacteria and decay are further valuable characteristics.

Expanded polystyrene does not contain any ozone depleting substances and no such substance is used in its manufacture. The inertness and stability of the product means it will not produce gases or leachates. It is odourless and non-allergenic.
