The AGP Operable Glass Louvre system is not only functional but also aesthetically appealing. Offering the largest frameless glass panels for an operable louvre system on the market, it uses vertical aluminium mullions to house the operating mechanism, keeping the system visually clean and uncluttered and adding to its elegant appearance.
The Fineline series louvre system is ideal for balcony wintergarden spaces. Large frameless glass louvre panels with beveled edges provide for a stylish operable façade with minimal sight interruption.
The Fineline-XT series louvre system offers an effective balance between an elegant frameless glass design, without compromising the practical requirements of a sealed louvre system. These characteristics have made it a popular choice for architects designing buildings where natural air flow and ventilation are important considerations
Every operable glass louvre system is custom designed and built to the specific requirements of the application.
Office Building Facade:
The system can be custom designed to fit in with the style and module sizes of most commercial office building facades. At 82 Waterloo Road, North Ryde, louvres were used in special wintergardens established in the office space, to provide natural ventilation when desired. Fineline-XT louvres will be used as a main façade feature serving the practical purpose of smoke ventilation at 50 Lonsdale Street Melbourne, and the Adelaide Advertiser Building - both currently under construction.
Apartment Balcony Facade:
To maximise the amount of all year round liveable space in apartments, balconies can be enclosed with louvres. They provide individual apartment users with the choice between opening up the space to the natural environment during pleasant weather, or closing it off when protection from inclement weather is required.
Examples: King St Wharf Apartments, Sydney ; York Apartments, Newcastle Beach ; Ephraim Island, Gold Coast.
Internal Office Building Screens:
Operable glass louvres can be installed as internal partitions with the louvre control system integrated into the building management system. In the event of a fire emergency, some louvres will automatically close while others automatically open. This allows the smoke extraction system to operate effectively throughout the building.
Examples: BHP Billiton Building, Melbourne ; 30 The Bond, Sydney.
Public Bar Facade:
Operable glass louvres are an ideal product for public bars and entertainment facilities because they provide greater flexibility by allowing outdoor entertaining spaces to be used all year round. Examples: Transport Bar and Taxi Restaurant, Federation Square, Melbourne.
