The use of an appropriate natural ventilation scheme is an economical and environmentally responsible option that can improve air quality and reduce temperatures inside buildings. Since 1934 Edmonds Pty Limited has sought to improve the comfort levels of Australians through the design and manufacture of quality domestic and industrial ventilation products.

Fully manufactured in Australia, the Maestro is the most energy efficient product of its type available. Controlled by thermostat, the 12V-powered unit removes hot, humid air from roof spaces enabling replacement by cooler, fresher air. At a rate of approximately 130L/sec, the Maestro’s exhaust rate is up to four times that of a typical wind-powered, domestic ventilator.

Its advanced, low voltage, electronic commutating motor has a low operational noise of less than 65 decibels. The 12 volt transformer simply plugs into a power point and costs less than $7 per annum to operate. One Maestro can provide adequate ventilation for a 20 square (180m2) home.

Supavent is a new generation wind-powered ventilator that utilises vertical vane technology for ultra high operating efficiency at low wind speeds. Fitted with precision stainless steel bearings and made from robust UV stabilised polymer, the Supavent has been tested to withstand wind speeds of up to 240km/hour. Wind powered ventilators continually remove air impurities and are most effective in cooling homes at night.

For ventilators to perform satisfactorily there must be an easy means for fresh, replacement air to enter the roof space. Edmonds’ WhirlyMate, an open and closable ceiling register, helps provide a total household ventilation system.
