With low installation and running costs, low maintenance and low operation noise, electric in-slab floor heating is low on everything - except desirability. It uses electric cables embedded in a concrete slab floor, which stores heat at night and releases it during the day to effectively warm your room. Because the system uses off-peak electricity it is economically sound, and because it is invisible, it offers freedom of décor and furniture layout.

ELEKTRA VCD35 Twin in-slab heating cable:

The new ELEKTRA range of twin heating cables has made electric in-slab floor heating even better.

The convenient “twin” design of ELEKTRA heating cables means installation is easy. Simply start at the power source and work to the end of the cable. Because the cables come packaged on reels they simply roll out, twist and kink-free. They are quality assured to ISO 9002 and ISO 9001.

ELEKTRA VCD10 Twin Frost Protection heating cable:

The VCD10 is a testament to the wide-ranging application for these cables. Designed to prevent freezing, icing or snowcapping, these are perfect for cold storage room floors.

ELEKTRA Selftec self-regulating heating cable:

The SelfTec antifrost system protects water supply lines, valves, pipes, gutters, compressed air or hydraulic cylinders and other objects likely to fail due to low temperatures. The cables can be placed directly on these objects- even plastic- and are just as easy to remove. The system self-regulates its temperature to suit changing environmental conditions, eradicating the need for a thermostat and the risk of overheating and burning. It can detect local overheating, and turn off the problem section, while maintaining the operation of the remaining cable length. This is achieved by the relationship between the concentration of molecular conductors in the cables’ structure and the resulting electrical resistance which determines the current intensity, and thus the heat.

Its cross-linked polymer core, braided copper tin-plated protective earthed screen and outer coat of modified polyolefins were specifically chosen for their safety properties.

ELEKTRA Twin heating Mat:

The ELEKTRA Twin heating mat is a thermostat-controlled twin cable on a fibreglass mat with a single-sided power supply. It may be used under any type of floor that easily radiates heat- tiles, stone slate, polished concrete, low pile carpet and some wooden floor panels. They can be cut to the specifications for any individual room.

Microtemp thermostats:

Specially developed for electrical under floor heating., OJ Electronic Thermostats perfectly complement ELEKTRA twin heating cables. The four available types of thermostats include either a floor or air sensor, which enable temperature control with an accuracy of 0.4oC.
