Karndean's Inspired New Designs

The latest additions to the Karndean Range have been predicated as some of the most sought after flooring products for the year.

The first addition is the Antique Ceramic range. Available in a choice of six colours - Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Noir and Java – this range has been carefully designed to replicate the textured surface and realistic colouring of natural ceramic tiles whilst avoiding the practical drawbacks.

Natural ceramic tiles are prone to cracking and can be a nightmare to repair. Karndean flooring is extremely hard wearing and unlike natural ceramic tiles, will not crack or develop a dirty grout line. Karndean products enable mixing and matching, such as adding a wood effect strip between tiles, to suit individual décor. To complete the look, the Antique Ceramic collection includes four exclusive border options.

The slim Block border includes angled edges to create a three dimensional look and feel. The Inca border features a fabulous Mediterranean look, which is extremely natural and features four of the six Antique Ceramic colours. The Cube border is modern, yet ornate - having a deco style all of its own. The first of its kind, the Cube border incorporates two Antique Ceramics products within its form. Finally, the Basque border is ideal to set the scene for a truly natural looking floor. The textured surface and angled edges adds to the realism and individual style of this border.

Karndean’s second addition is their Hand-Crafted Wood range. With this range Karndean International are proving, once again, to be the leaders in design flooring. Hand-Crafted Wood is a “hybrid” range, combining the most popular features of Karndean’s other ranges. To create Hand-Crafted Wood, Karndean have included a detailed registered emboss technique featured in their Michelangelo range, a larger sized plank similar to the Van Gogh range, and finally a bevelled edge to define each plank - similar to the Da Vinci range, but with a twist.

The Da Vinci range features a sloping bevelled edge, which has proven very popular as it defines each plank and creates a stylish feature within the floor design. Hand-Crafted Wood takes this one step further. To ensure it stands out from the crowd, Karndean have introduced an “arc bevel”. Rather than the usual deep sloping bevel, an arc bevel is concave, making it more subtle without losing its definition. Both the Antique Ceramic Hand-Crafted Wood ranges come with a 0.7mm wear layer and is 3mm thick overall, making them some of Karndean’s most durable and hardwearing designer floor coverings.

Hand-Crafted Wood is available in a choice three colours – Hickory Peppercorn, Hickory Paprika and Hickory Nutmeg.
