House of Bamboo: Natureed® Cladding

House of Bamboo has supplied architects and designers reliably for the last thirty years with a wide range of natural materials for exteriors and interiors. Their quality plantation grown Natureed® cladding has come into its own in recent years in landscaping. It is used for creating outdoor privacy screens in residential or hospitality contexts, cladding and transforming existing unsightly fences and walls, and making fences that are contemporary and natural in texture. Natureed® has also been used to create shade with beautiful natural texture and filtered light in pergola settings residentially and commercially.

Natureed®is a trademarked reed cladding product made with quality control. It is highly resistant to moisture and termites and has low flammability compared with other natural products such as brushwood or alang-alang thatch. It is bound securely with non-rusting wire, ensuring reeds do not fall out - a problem associated with inferior poorly constructed and woven natural materials and also with twigs in brushwood.

Natureed® is ideal to clad metal fences and create a softer, more sophisticated natural look, which blends well with timber and stone. It can be maintained for colour with a timber decking oil and installed securely with staples on treated timber battens or with netting clips on wires. Cladding fences with Natureed® can bring cohesion to outdoor spaces where fences vary in height or material. It can also bring privacy to swimming pool settings or fences. Fences clad in Natureed® can be capped with Natureed® itself or timber slats, and colour used in conjunction with Natureed® can be very effective.

Fences or screens made with double layers of Natureed® give privacy and texture and are increasingly used imaginatively in courtyards, decks, pool surrounds, apartments and outdoor settings in cafes, resorts and hotels.

Cladding a substrate with Natureed® will bring privacy, texture and a fresh look. Used overhead, it will create coolness in open deck areas, or those with simple timber beams or where polycarbonate has been installed and heat results. Natureed® can be installed under polycarbonate to create natural ambience, which is cool, beautiful at night when lit from above, and which is full of filtered light.
